Alabama is an eastern southern U.S. State that is home to important landmarks in the civil rights movement. Birmingham, the state capital, is the home of the 16th street Baptist Church, which was a prominent protest site in the 1960’s. Martin Luther King’s church, the Rosa Parks memorial and the Albert Einstein museum are located in Montgomery, the state’s capital.
